The Machine
The Pilates Reformer is Simply AMAZING!
Typically found in exclusive Pilates studios or in Physical Rehabilitation clinics, this machine can quite literally do it all! This "One-stop-shop" provides a cardiovascular, strength training and flexibility regime that is ever evolving for the user. There are so many exercises that can be performed on this apparatus! Routines become a collection of ever-changing movements and body positions, working in all planes, enabling the participant to use their own body as resistance and also as an extension of the machine for a full, all-inclusive workout! The more experience one has working on the machine, the more benefit and effect one receives from doing the work on it. Since most of the exercises are performed on the moving platform, the core is activated and continuously stabilizing for the entire duration of the work. The design of the machine allows it's user to work each and every body part at full ROM (Range of Motion) with little to no detriment to the joints, resulting in maximum muscle activation & flexibility. Professional and Olympic athletes swear by it's benefits! Physical Therapists deem it a wonder machine for Physical Rehabilitation! With appropriate guidance, this apparatus is a safe, effective & fun exercise tool for anyone and everyone! |
Owner/Instructor
My first passion of movement was Yoga. I began my individual yoga practice at age 17 as therapy for anxiety & depression. Over the last few decades since, I have studied various different types of Yoga including Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa, to name a few. I became a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer in 2000, and continued my studies to include Resistance Training and Weight management, Indoor Cycling, Kickboxing, Kettle bell Conditioning, Zumba, Body Pump, Senior Fitness, TRX, Aquatic Therapy & Fitness, Pilates Mat, Pilates Reformer and Barre. I have worked with hundreds of clients over the years and have enjoyed every minute of it! The various forms of movement that I have studied over time have given me the knowledge base and experience needed to open this studio with 12 of those "Magic Machines". I feel so blessed to be able to share my passion with those who have followed me and those whom I have yet to meet on this journey. My ultimate goal is to meet you where you are...no matter what age, level of condition or physical limitation you may have and to provide a space that is conducive to that purpose. I'm here to guide & accompany you into a physical, intimate & hopefully inspirational practice of movement that is safe, effective and lots of fun! Because...
If it's not fun, do you really wanna do it ?!?
Join me on the journey!
It's time to hop aboard the SOL Train!!
